They will be held until they see a Court Commissioner within 20 to 24 hours. By law, Maryland has 24 hours to get the inmate in front of the Commissioner.

After they have seen the Commissioner, the bondsman will write the bail, issue a release and take the release to the records office. Once this is done, it might still take four to five hours before your loved one is released.
